Regarding the information about holidays in Mainland China in 2025, the notification was published on November 12, 2024 and will be effective from January 1, 2025 after the approval of the government. According to the information of the notification, the main holiday schedule for 2025 is as follows:

3、Holidays for Ethnic Minorities
The notice also explains that holidays customarily observed by China's ethnic minorities shall be set by the local people's governments of the areas in which the ethnic minorities live, in accordance with the customs of each ethnic group, on the dates of the holidays.
It means that the local governments of the ethnic minorities in different areas will provide reasonable vacation dates according to the custom of the ethnic festivals. There are 56 ethnic groups in China, of which the Han Chinese are not part of the ethnic minorities and therefore do not enjoy this policy.
4. Holidays without vacation
Other holidays and anniversaries like Teachers' Day, Nurses' Day, Journalists' Day, Arbor Day, etc. are not holidays.
